Interview at Home Temple (2014)
Located along Jalan Cengai - a hotbed for the residence-turn-temple phenomenon, Sheng-Ci Si (聖慈寺) is one classic example. The aim of the project was to identify alternate spaces of worship, religious syncretism, and how communities navigate around bureaucratic red tape to practise their faith - particularly relevant to minority populations whose enterprises are sometimes curtailed by indiscriminate government regulations.

Frog Seller (2014)
Filmed on Nikon D7100, edited on Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro. Chinatown market, Singapore.
This video was created as part of the Drying Wet Market project to document the last of the traditional trades that have been overshadowed, and subsequently replaced by massive supermarket chains islandwide. Frogs as part of the traditional cuisine is increasingly frowned upon, and the slaughter of live frogs in markets can be a controversial subject to consider.
Coconut Seller (2014)
Filmed on Nikon D7100, edited on Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro. Geylang Serai market, Singapore.
Unprocessed coconuts as a raw ingredient in recipes is becoming irrelevant today, as processed foods containing coconuts negate the need to prepare such dishes at home. A niche in the market, coconut stalls are left few and far between, as people are driven to buy cheap and conveniently packaged processed coconuts. Yet, such trades remain as a melting pot of inter-ethnic contacts, where the Chinese supply the Malays and the Indians with one of their culinary favourites.
The Butcher (2014)
Filmed on Nikon D7100, edited on Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro. Little India market, Singapore.
Preferring the sterility of contemporary grocery shopping settings, we inadvertently pave the way for the extinction of these wet market stalls. As we go for bloodless styrofoam trays and vacuum-packed meat products, the traditional stalls' increasing struggle to compete in the fresh food supply chain often go unheard under eclipse of market shares dominated by leading supermarket brands.
